Each quarter, SWiP invites speakers from academia and industry to informally chat with students about their career paths and experiences. Gayle Ratliff is currently an Assistant Professor of Instruction in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Northwestern University and a senior faculty member at the Hyde Park School of Dance where she teaches classical ballet and serves as choreographer and conservator of hundreds of dance works. In 2018-2019 she served as a National Visiting Fellow at the School of American Ballet in New York City and was instrumental in bringing a dance program to the Bronzeville Classical School in Chicago.  She still performs contemporary dance works and actively works to promote inclusion in the arts and in STEM fields.
