Zheng-Tian Lu, a Professor in the Physics Department and a Physicists at Argonne National Laboratory. He has been chosen to receive the 2009 Francis M. Pipkin Award of the American Physical Society, which honors exceptional research by a young scientist in the area of precision measurement and fundamental constants.		 Lu

Carlos Wagner, a Professor in the Physics Department and a Physicist at Argonne National Laboratory. He has been elected a Fellow of the American Physical Society for work on the phenomenology of supersymmetry and electroweak symmetry breaking.		 carlos

Margaret Gardel, an Assistant Professor in the Physics Department. She has recently been named a Sloan Fellow by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, a Packard Fellow by the David and Lucile Packard Foundation, and has received the prestigious NIH Director's Pioneer Award.		 margaret
