Follow the links below for directions on how to reach the University of Chicago campus:

Once in the campus community, you can get around via several local bus routes many of which are free for university students, faculty, and staff with a valid university ID. You may also find a general map of campus useful, as well as a map of the Hyde Park community.

The administrative offices of the Department of Physics are located in the Kersten Physics Teaching Center (KPTC) on the southwest corner of East 57th Street and South Ellis Avenue at 5720 South Ellis. Faculty offices are located in various facilities grouped primarily by research area. If you don't know the building in which the faculty member you are looking for is located, please check the faculty directory.

The Research Institutes (RI) complex is located on the northwest corner of East 57th Street and South Ellis Avenue and extends for the entire block; its street address is 5640 South Ellis Avenue. Through the RI complex you can reach the William Eckhardt Research Center, and Michelson Center for Physics (MCP) which is located on East 56th street about midway between South Ellis and South Drexel Avenues.

The Gordon Center for Integrative Sciences (GCIS) is located just west of the Kersten Physics Teaching Center (KPTC) on East 57th Street between South Ellis and Drexel Avenues; its street address is 929 East 57th Street. All of our facilities are interconnected by a system of bridges and tunnels.
