Professor Awschalom's group makes a breakthrough with quantum communication

In a study led by Department of Physics graduate student Samuel Whitely, Postdoctoral researcher Gary Wolfowicz, and collaborators, sound waves were used to study atomic-scale dynamics by coupling the waves to electron spins.
